Join us for Holy Week at Westkirk. Invite your friends and family.
Join us for tomorrow evening as we kick off the Lenten Season with a special Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 pm. We will also have a special voluntary Imposition of Ashes portion of the service. There will be no WOW programming, meal, or choir rehearsal. The nursery will be staffed for kids 0-2. We hope to see you! Invite a friend to join us!

We have new Adult Classes beginning this Wednesday at W.O.W.! Join us when classes begin at 6:30 pm or or come early for dinner (5:30 pm) and worship (6:15 pm). “Covenant Theology – How Big is Your God?” Led by John Johnson and meeting in the Lounge, this introduction to the covenantal aspect of Reformed Theology will begin to answer the common question, ‘So what is covenant theology anyway?’ John will be using the book, Sacred Bond: Covenant Theology Explored, by Michael G. Brown and Zach Keele. This is a theology book geared to the lay reader. To begin, the class will explore the sovereignty of God and then move on to how the sovereign God works in the affairs of men through his covenants. The book costs $15 and some will be available the first session. You may also order your own or Westkirk will order more by request. “Letters of Light in the Dark of Winter” - Pastor George Edema has created this encouraging and practical guide to shine the light of Christ into a dark world through the actual writing of real letters. Yes, with paper, envelopes and stamps! You may bring your own stationary but paper and envelopes will be available. Completed letters will also be mailed courtesy of Westkirk for those who would like to drop them off during class. Each week, George will bring some instruction and encouragement about the power of the written word to create or destroy, about reconciliation, and speaking words of blessing. Eventually we hope that responses to letters sent will be shared with the class. Meets in the Hospitality Room. As a guide, several copies of Letters of C. S. Lewis will be available for $12. You may purchase your own copy or Westkirk will order more by request. (Please see the attached video for more about Pastor George's course)

Remember tonight (Saturday) to turn your clocks ahead one hour for the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. Services will be at the regular times. First Service at 9:00 a.m. (DST), Sunday School at 10:15 a.m. (DST) and 2nd Service at 11:15 a.m. (DST). This is Communion Sunday. Then on Wednesday, there will NO WOW (3-14-18) due to Spring Break.
